Life is what happens
while you're busy making
other plans
so I'm told.
Did you know
that peanut butter
on a spoon
cures hiccups?
And the sound of
coyotes at night
outside your hotel room window
can cure a major
case of the blues?
Only if
you married a Monkey
and he knows your secrets.
--------
This Friday 55 is for G-Man
who makes me want to write on Friday
and Monkey Man
who made me laugh on Monday
just like most every day.
I want to thank
Kramers, and Old Mills, and ghost stories
wishing for Sasquatch
coyotes outside my door
peaceful quiet
and men who tip
their hats at me
and wave as they pass.
Happy 19th, MM
and many more -
(with coyotes).

KP reminds me of the neighbor on Home Improvement that never ever completely revealed himself. Which leads me to think that maybe he was some 70's left wing radical.
Oh Well...
PG...Loved your 55!!
I can hear coyotes in the dead of night sometimes...Chilling
Thanks for playing Rachel, You are such a terrific writer. Have a Kick Ass Week-End
Well I wad arrested for protesting Viet Nam, but not a fugitive radical by any means. Hey...there may be a 55 in that.
Best anniversary ever, Mrs. MM. Coyotes and three legged dogs and neighborly locals.
Aaaahhhh! How sweet! Especially the peanut butter! LOL
coyotes and peanut butter and anniversaries...uh huh...smiles.
I like this lots, very nice imagery and sentiment. Bravo!
I like this. Do men still tip their hats at women? I love the sound of coyotes. They cure the blues because they make you think about something else, something deep and wild and unknown. Something bigger than yourself.
A delightful 55 - happy anniversary to you and MM!
Was Monkey Man born with those glasses?
