Well? in 55

What would you do
If in a moment
Everything you love, and have, and hold
Will be gone?

If there was a warning - a breath taken -
That told you the secret
Of the end to come...

Would you know what to say
In a word?
How to show - in a breath - what you feel?
Well?

G-Man asks a small favor - write a quick dose of fiction, in 55 words - no more, no less.
Humor him and write your own, then visit him HERE and tell him all about it. I did.

Go, G-Man! You're on a roll today!

Thanks for the Mother's Day wishes. I share Mother's Day love with all the women in my world that love and mother me, even though we're not related!

ok you are giving me a bit of the shivers with this one...do you know something we do not know? the G nailed it...all we need is Love, love, love is all we need...

One word? I can do 55 or 160 Characters, but one word? Love is taken so I'll have to cheat and go with two words - I'm home.

Really good one again, Great 55's today! I felt the anxiety and peace of this poem & agree completely with Brian & G - Love, because it conquers all!

Blood, Sweat and Tears is mine this week.

beautiful wonders.

everything we love is gone, find something new to love and grow passion at.

new doors always open up as old ones close.

fantastic 55.

Happy Mother's Day to Moms around you. Blessings..

funny G-man I was going to say love
but YAHTZEE is better!

This 55 requires deep thinking about what my answer might be...

thanks for sharing it

that is all

It's a very real possibility in all our lives that we have to live with, and I don't believe there is ever an answer you could prepare in advance. Great 55.

Its likelihood is ever-increasing in this climate. Maybe it's not one word...maybe it's action...

Great 55.

Outstanding photo and 55. Let's hope our last words and breath would be of love and not fear...

Thanks, everyone. I was inspired (don't laugh!) by the opening scene of Terminator 2, which strangely showed up more than once, a few days ago, in interactions with people.

For me? There is but one word I would share, at the end, to those I know and love:

THANKS

Unless, of course, I get a sentence, and I'd have to steal from Douglas Adams:
So long, and thanks for all the fish.

I like your sentence PG. When I was there, my word was "NO!", even though I knew it was coming. I didn't want to know.

So FISH will have to be the backup word I guess.

or gunapher (my word verification)

No idea. But if I have to be there at the end of the world, it wouldn't be so bad to be at ground zero. Less to worry about that way.

Wow, intense thought.

Sadly, I find these sorts of limits challenging, and my one word would likely be "Ummm...".

Great photo too, by the way.
